Nurturing Digital Literacy Collaboration

ICT Watch is a civil society organization that has initiated a number of digital literacy initiatives and movements in Indonesia. In carrying out its program, ICT Watch collaborates with multi-stakeholders (government, civil society, private sector, academia and the technical community). Various forms of activities are carried out for digital literacy education / advocacy.

Overview of ICT Watch

ICT Watch  is one of the pioneers of the digital literacy movement in Indonesia through the program Healthy Internet which was initiated in 2002. In May 2017, ICT Watch received an award The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Prize Winner from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) - PBB because it is considered good in carrying out digital literacy collaboratively for the wider community. ICT Watch was also awarded Tasrif Award from the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) Indonesia in August 2014 for being considered to have played a significant role in promoting the Internet as a vehicle for fulfilling citizens' rights to information.

ICT Watch has been registered with the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights since August 2002. "Sehat Internet" has been registered with the Director General of Intellectual Property Rights since October 2010, but is free and free to use for public education.
